Dr. Fadi Iskandarani is a highly experienced paediatric surgeon with over 25 years of clinical and academic expertise. He began his medical journey by earning a Diploma in General Medicine, followed by a specialization in Paediatric Surgery with a focus on Digestive and Urological conditions at Saint Joseph University in Beirut. His pursuit of advanced training took him to France, where he obtained a Diploma in Paediatric Surgery (A.F.S.A) from Université Paris-Saclay and later completed his MD at the University of Paris V René Descartes. He further honed his skills through a Fellowship in Paediatric Surgery at the College of Medicine in Paris.

Dr. Iskandarani is a recognized member of both the French Society of Paediatric Surgery and the Lebanese Society of Paediatric Surgery. Throughout his distinguished career, he has earned a reputation for excellence in his field, contributing numerous research publications to leading medical journals. His professional journey reflects a deep commitment to paediatric healthcare and surgical innovation.

In Lebanon, he has held several academic and clinical roles, including serving on the Medical Board at Rafic Hariri University Hospital, acting as Medical Controller for Med Gulf Insurance, and contributing as a peer reviewer for the Lebanese Medical Journal. Early in his career, he worked as a lecturer and teaching assistant at the Lebanese University and completed his residency training at Hotel Dieu Hospital in Beirut, affiliated with Saint Joseph University. He also taught paediatric surgery at the Nursing School of Saint Joseph University.

His international experience includes working in France at Bicetre Hospital, where he performed complex paediatric liver transplants and hepato-biliary procedures, and at Trousseau Hospital, focusing on paediatric urology and oncology surgeries. Upon returning to Lebanon, he continued his practice across several prominent hospitals such as Bahman Hospital, Trad Hospital, and Hotel Dieu de France Hospital, while also training medical residents and lecturing at the Lebanese University’s Faculty of Medicine.

Dr. Iskandarani has led several paediatric surgery divisions in Lebanon, including at Sahel General Hospital, Al Zahraa Hospital University Medical Center, and the Middle East Hospital. He was also Head of Paediatric Surgery at Rafic Hariri University Hospital and served at Clemenceau Medical Center before relocating to the UAE. In Dubai, he has worked as a Consultant Paediatric Surgeon with both Al Zahra Hospital and Mediclinic City Hospital.

His clinical expertise covers a wide range of paediatric conditions, with key interests in paediatric urology, neonatal surgery, hypospadias correction, single-stage procedures for anorectal malformations, and treatment of Hirschsprung disease. He also has a special focus on hepato-biliary surgery, particularly the Kasai procedure for biliary atresia, as well as paediatric solid tumour surgeries.

Outside the operating room, Dr. Iskandarani leads an active lifestyle and enjoys running, swimming, hiking, and biking. He’s also an avid reader who values continuous learning both inside and outside of medicine.
