Meet our Consultant Anesthesiologist, Dr Jamshid Zafar, a Master of delicate balance between ensuring patients pain-free status and maintaining stable vital functions during surgical/medical procedures. With a wealth of experience and a commitment to precision, our consultant brings a reassuring touch to the operating room, ensuring each patient’s journey is as comfortable as possible. Dr Jamshid Zafar who hails from the Indian Capital, graduated in year 2000, completing his MD Anesthesiology in year 2006, from prestigious Jawahar Lal Nehru Medical College, Belgaum, India.

After Masters, his professional journey started in 2006, working in the leading Cardiac Centre of India at that time, (Delhi’s Escorts Heart Institute and Research centre), followed by then working in Delhi Govt’s Coveted UCMS medical college, (GTB Hospital) in 2008. This diverse 3 years plus Indian experience early on gave a strong foundation to what has been an excellent career, for him so far. 2009 saw Dr Jamshid move and get employed in Dubai’s prestigious Rashid Hospital, a place where he worked n grew for next 14 long illustrious years.

Since his early days here,  his activity and involvement in numerous departmental projects stood out. A Departmental DHA approved Audit on Peripheral Nerve Blocks, An IV lines Audit, Departmental Dashboard formulation are just to name a few. Acquiring a US guided Regional anesthesia diploma from University of Montpellier (France) in 2014, and a DHA promotion to Senior specialist in 2017 was only a testament to his all round efforts at work.

Whether being a lead trainer of Interns and ER/ surgical residents rotating in Anesthesia, in 2011-2014,  or being the Faculty of Anesthesia residency program for Saudi and Arab boards from 2017 onwards, Dr Jamshid’s teaching and training methods, simplifying the most complex topics and practices, were widely recognized.

Dr Jamshid had also been instrumental in shaping multiple other DHA teaching projects by Instructing and planning Regional Anaesthesia Courses, Adult Sedation Course, Difficult Airway courses etc.

A prominent Speaker in numerous Conferences, journal clubs and lectures, while also being a committed ACLS Instructor, he does it all while,  while keeping the seamless navigation of his patients through the delicate realm between consciousness and anesthesia, at the centerstage of his practice.

Getting his DHA Consultant License in 2022, Dr Jamshid joins Clemenceau medical Centre (CMC), Dubai, in 2023, with a keen focus on combining expertise and compassion to ensure a smooth and secure surgical experience for each individual under his care.
