Biography
Dr. Erkan Gunay is a Specialist in Emergency Medicine with extensive clinical and leadership experience in high-volume emergency departments across the UAE, Türkiye, and the United States.
He is residency-trained in Emergency Medicine and holds European Board Certification in Emergency Medicine, as well as Turkish Board Certification. Throughout his career, Dr. Gunay has worked as an attending emergency physician and has held leadership positions as Director and Head of Emergency Departments, managing multidisciplinary emergency teams and overseeing the care of critically ill and injured patients.
Dr. Gunay has significant expertise in emergency and acute care, trauma management, resuscitation, advanced airway management, point-of-care ultrasound, and emergency procedures. He has also contributed to emergency preparedness, disaster medicine, clinical research, and medical education.
In addition to his clinical training, Dr. Gunay holds a Master of Public Health (MPH) from Case Western Reserve University, USA. He has participated in emergency management and disaster medicine research projects in New York and served as a Visiting Assistant Professor at SUNY Downstate Medical Center.
