Biography
Dr. Lida Anwari is a Consultant Maternal & Fetal Medicine Specialist and Consultant Obstetrician & Gynecologist with extensive international experience in the United Arab Emirates, United Kingdom, Germany, and Belgium.
She has advanced specialist training in Maternal-Fetal Medicine and Fetal Medicine, including an MSc in Prenatal Genetics & Fetal Medicine from University College London and an MSc in Maternal-Fetal Medicine from the University of Barcelona and Barcelona Fetal Medicine Foundation.
Dr. Anwari completed advanced Fetal Medicine training at the Royal Free Hospital in London and a Fellowship in Fetal Medicine with the Fetal Medicine Foundation at King’s College Hospital under the supervision of Professor Kypros Nicolaides.
Her clinical expertise includes the management of high-risk pregnancies, multiple pregnancies, fetal abnormalities, and complex obstetric conditions. She is experienced in advanced fetal ultrasound and anomaly screening, 3D and 4D ultrasound, Doppler assessment of fetal circulation, prenatal counselling, and prenatal diagnosis.
Dr. Anwari performs and has extensive experience in non-invasive and invasive prenatal diagnostic procedures, including nuchal translucency (NT) assessment, chorionic villus sampling (CVS), and amniocentesis.
She also provides comprehensive obstetric and gynecological care, including management of miscarriages, complicated cesarean sections, and a range of gynecological procedures such as laparoscopy, hysteroscopy, colposcopy, conisation, and hysterectomy.
Throughout her international career, Dr. Anwari has worked in specialist and consultant roles across the UAE, UK, Germany, and Belgium, managing routine and emergency obstetric cases and providing specialist care for complex maternal and fetal conditions.
She is also actively involved in medical education and academic work. She received a Clinical Teaching Award from Imperial College London in 2023 and has presented her clinical work at international congresses in Obstetrics, Gynecology, Fetal Medicine, and Ultrasound.
