Dr. Elie Abi Chebel is the Head of the Anesthesiology Department and a seasoned Consultant Anesthesiologist at Clemenceau Medical Center – Dubai. With over a decade of international and regional experience, he is known for his clinical excellence, leadership in perioperative safety, and strong commitment to medical education.

He earned his Doctor of Medicine (MD) from the Lebanese University in 2009, followed by a specialization diploma in Anesthesia and Resuscitation in 2013. In 2019, he completed a postgraduate diploma in ultrasound-guided regional anesthesia from the Lebanese University in collaboration with Rennes University in France.

Dr. Abi Chebel trained at the prestigious University Hospitals of Geneva, Switzerland, where he completed both his residency and advanced postgraduate training in anesthesiology between 2011 and 2016. His clinical exposure there included intensive care, trauma, and pediatric anesthesia, as well as training in medical hypnosis.

Since joining Clemenceau Medical Center – Dubai in 2021, Dr. Abi Chebel has led multiple institutional initiatives, including clinical protocol development, safety training for nursing staff, and anesthesia service coordination. He currently chairs the Pharmacy and Therapeutics Committee and serves on the Transfusion Committee, reflecting his dedication to cross-disciplinary collaboration and patient safety.

A strong advocate for education, Dr. Abi Chebel is a clinical instructor and organizer of the regional anesthesia course at the Lebanese University. He has also taught at several nursing and healthcare institutions in Lebanon and the UAE.- he’s the Head of the Department of Anesthesia.
