Overview
Robotic surgery in Urology
Cases that are routinely performed using robotic surgery at CMC-Dubai include robotic surgery to remove prostate cancer (robotic prostatectomy), robotic surgery for kidney cancer (radical or partial nephrectomy), robotic surgery for bladder cancer (robotic radical cystectomy with intra-corporal ileal conduit and neobladder), robotic surgery for adrenal tumors (robotic adrenalectomy), and robotic surgery for various reconstructive surgeries in urology including pyeloplasty, ureteral reimplantation and other surgeries.
Robotic Surgery in General Surgery
At CMC-Dubai, we have the latest and most up to date Davinci XI robotic system. The general surgery team performs robotic foregut operations like robotic gastric and esophageal surgery (hiatal hernia, Nissen fundoplication, sleeve gastrectomy, and gastric bypass). We also perform solid organ robotic surgery like robotic pancreas and spleen resection operations. In cases of colon and rectum conditions, we offer robotic operations for benign and malignant conditions like colon tumors and rectal prolapse. The general surgery robotic team also performs robotic ventral, incisional, and inguinal hernia operations which is rapidly becoming the standard for these conditions.
Robotic Surgery in Gynecology
With the state of the art Da Vinci Xi robot platform, the Gynecology team at CMC-Dubai provides surgical treatment to most gynecologic problems affecting women including hysterectomy ( removal of the uterus) , myomectomy (removal of fibroids), excision of endometriosis and ovarian masses and any pelvic surgery , prevention of preterm birth by robotic cervical cerclage in cases where traditional cerclages have failed, repair of organ prolapse by sacrocolpopexy or uterosacral ligament suspension are also performed.Meet Our Doctors
