Labor and Delivery Process- Diana Doughan, Charge Midwife (20 minutes). She will be discussing the navigation process of pregnant women from their admission until their discharge and all the details in between.
Pain Management- Dr. Elie Abi Chebel, Anesthesiologist (15 minutes). Dr. Elie will go over the epidural and spinal anesthesia. Their indications, complications, and the pain management expectations of such procedures. Rima Slim, Maternity Registered Nurse (15 minutes) will focus on the non-pharmacological aspect to control pain.
Hypnobirthing- Lauren Hunt, Midwife (20 minutes). Lauren will take you into an alternative world with her visuals and oils.
Newborn Care- Dr. Marwa Yahfouf (15 minutes). Our pediatrician will inform you about the direct newborn care provided to your baby at birth up until they are discharged home and regarding future follow ups.
Breastfeeding- Dr. Olfa Koobar, Neonatologist (15 minutes). Dr. Olfa will share with you the importance of breastfeeding, techniques and positions.
Stem Cells Collection- Ranim Ibrahim, Stem Cells Specialist (10 minutes). She will explain in details this current trend, its importance, how it is collected, storage, and prices.
Diet after Delivery- Patille Madaghjian, Clinical Dietician (15 minutes). Patille will go over the essentials of nutrition in the post-partum phase and how to make sure you are well nourished, especially if you are breastfeeding.
Pelvic Rehabilitation- Ana Vilalta, Senior Physiotherapist (10 minutes). Ana will teach new mom how to resume their activity and how to strengthen their pelvic floor muscles.
It is and interactive course offered both onsite and online where you will also get the chance to meet other expecting couples where you will be sharing common concerns and information.
Most antenatal classes in Dubai are recommended to be taken 8-10 weeks before due date, so when you are around 32-40 weeks pregnant. Some exceptions are taken into consideration.
Antenatal classes at Clemenceau Medical Center Dubai are offered for free to all couples planning to deliver at CMC.
