Shingles Vaccine Package

Shingles is a painful rash caused by the varicella-zoster virus, the same virus that causes chickenpox. Shingles can occur in anyone who has had chickenpox, but it is most common in people over the age of 50.

The Shingrix vaccine is highly effective at preventing shingles. In clinical trials, the vaccine was shown to be 97% effective at preventing shingles in people over the age of 50.

The Shingles vaccine is safe and well-tolerated. The most common side effects are mild and go away on their own within a few days.

If you are over the age of 50 and have not had chickenpox, or if you have had chickenpox but have not been vaccinated against shingles, you should talk to your doctor about getting the Shingrix vaccine.

Two doses of the Shingrix vaccine:

The cost for Shingles Vaccine 1st Dose: AED 1450

• The first dose is given at the time of vaccination

The cost for Shingles Vaccine 2nd Dose: AED 1000

• the second dose is given two to six months later.
