Le Dr Arif a été directeur général de l’hôpital Al Qassimi Sharjah – EAU (depuis 2009), chef du laboratoire de cathétérisme cardiaque de l’hôpital Al Qassimi Sharjah – EAU (depuis 2004) et chef du centre cardiaque (depuis 2012). Il est membre du comité national dont l’objectif est de réduire la mortalité due aux maladies cardiovasculaires au niveau national, dans le cadre de la vision nationale des Émirats 2021 (depuis mai 2016). Il est également professeur associé de cardiologie à l’Université de Sharjah (depuis septembre 2018), études doctorales en médecine cardiovasculaire, faculté de médecine, Université de Belgrade, Serbie (depuis 2018).

Le Dr Arif est membre de la Société cardiaque des Émirats – responsable de la cardiologie interventionnelle (depuis mars 2016), de l’Association médicale des Émirats et du Collège royal des médecins et chirurgiens de Glasgow depuis 2013. Il a été le coordinateur national pour les EAU – Association européenne des interventions cardiovasculaires percutanées (EAPCI).

Le Dr Arif est un examinateur officiel dans des revues internationales telles que Catheterization and Cardiovascular Interventions, Ex Reviewer – Elsevier Journals et membre du comité de rédaction de la revue Cardiology Cases and Systematic Reviews (CCSR). Le Dr Arif parle couramment l’arabe, l’anglais, l’allemand et l’urdu.
