Dr. Sandra Amaya Vanegas

Dr. Sandra Amaya Vanegas is a highly skilled anesthesiologist with extensive experience in high-complexity surgeries and critical care. She holds a Medical Degree from the National University of Colombia, a Specialist Degree in Anesthesiology and Resuscitation from the Industrial University of Santander (Colombia), and a Master’s in Ultrasound-Guided Interventional Pain Management from the University of Salamanca (Spain)

Dr. Vanegas has practiced in leading hospitals in Colombia, including the Hospital Internacional de Colombia and the Hospital Universitario de Santander, where she managed anesthesia for a wide range of surgical specialties and critically ill patients. Her expertise includes general anesthesia, regional anesthesia, ultrasound-guided procedures, and pain management.

An active contributor to the academic field, Dr. Vanegas has presented at multiple international conferences and published research in peer-reviewed journals on topics including palliative extubation, airway management in burn patients, and substance use prevention in anesthesiology.
