Dr. Saeed Al Thani

Dr. Saeed Al Thani is a highly experienced Consultant Orthopedic Surgeon with more than 23 years of clinical experience, specializing in Sports Medicine, Arthroscopy, and Joint Reconstruction. He has extensive expertise in managing both young active patients and older patients with early cartilage injuries and arthritis, with a special focus on minimally invasive procedures and deformity correction.

Dr. Al Thani received his MBBS from the College of Medicine and Medical Sciences, Dammam University (King Faisal University), Saudi Arabia in 1993. He completed his Orthopedic Residency Program at the University of Toronto, Canada, followed by advanced fellowship training in Hand Surgery, Sports Medicine & Arthroscopy, and Joint Reconstruction in Toronto, Canada.

Over the years, Dr. Al Thani has become an international speaker and is actively involved in basic science and clinical research, through which he has mastered and introduced several innovative techniques for shoulder and knee surgeries.

He holds several prestigious leadership roles and has significantly contributed to orthopedic education and professional societies in the region. He is the Chairperson of the Education Committee at AOTRAUMA MENA, a Member of the Sports Medicine Committee of the UAE Football Association, and served as the Past President of the Emirates Orthopedic Society (2011–2019).
