Dr Mazen Fayad completed his Medical Studies in 2001 at the Lebanese University, Beirut Lebanon and his Orthopedic Residency Training in 2005 at the Lebanese University, Beirut Lebanon. After which he traveled to France for further fellowship training.
In France, he completed one year of fellowship (2005-2006) in “pediatric orthopedic surgery” including hip dysplasia surgery, club foot surgery and deformities surgery at the University of Versailles Saint-Quentin-en-Yvelines, Necker enfants-malades hospital- Paris. This was followed by one year of fellowship (2006-2007) in “Sports Medicine and Arthroscopy” including rotator cuff tear, shoulder dislocation and knee injuries such as meniscal tear, cruciate ligament injuries and ligament reconstruction, “Joint replacement and reconstructive surgery” including complex primary and revision hip, knee and shoulder arthroplasty and joint replacement surgery at the University of Mediterranean, Saint Marguerite hospital- Marseille.
After completing his Fellowship training in 2007, he returned to Lebanon and worked as a Consultant Orthopedic Surgeon at Hammoud University medical center and the Lebanese hospital Geitawi for 15 years where he developed vast experience in the field of orthopedic surgery.
Dr. Fayad has been a Core Faculty member at Lebanese University, Beirut Arab University and as an academician, he was also involved in the teaching and training of residents/registrars and future orthopedic surgeons.
Dr. Fayad is active in international congresses in USA and Europe with yearly involvement in advanced surgical techniques.
Dr Mazen Fayad has accumulated over 16 years of experience in his respective field, which includes sports injury and arthroscopic surgery of the shoulder and knee, joint replacement and reconstructive surgery (shoulder, hip and knee), degenerative lumbar spine surgery and pediatric orthopedic surgery.
