Dr Ibrahim M. Dounia is a well-established and highly skilled consultant in Ophthalmology with subspecialty in Pediatric Ophthalmology and Strabismus. He has been practicing since 1995 in Lebanon and different Arab countries where he earned a strong reputation for his esteem medical competence, high ethical standards and treasured patient care.

Dr Dounia graduated from the American University of Beirut as an Ophthalmologist. He then finished a two-year fellowship program at Massachusetts Eye and Ear-Infirmary, Harvard Medical School and New England Medical School- Tufts in Boston to capitalize on his acquired knowledge and outstanding clinical as well as surgical skills.

Dr Dounia is a member of the Lebanese Order of Physicians, the Lebanese Society of Ophthalmologists, and the International Committee of the American Association of Paediatric Ophthalmology and Strabismus (AAPOS). He is also a frequent guest speaker in many local, regional, and international ophthalmology conferences. He has established a prestigious specialized eye centre in Beirut (Ophthalmic Consultants of Beirut-OCB) and is currently a mentor and trainer for many Ophthalmology residents and fellows at the Lebanese American University-Rizk Hospital in Beirut.
