Dr. Hani A. Salam is an Oral and Maxillofacial Surgeon, with clinical expertise in dental implants, temporomandibular joint disorders, painless anesthesia, bone grafting and reconstruction, orthognathic surgery and jaw fractures, cysts, and tumors. Furthermore, he is actively involved in academic and research work in UAE and Canada.
Currently, Hani is an Adjunct Professor at the Faculty of Dental Medicine and Oral Health Sciences at McGill University, the Faculty of Dentistry at the University of Toronto, and Shriner’s Hospital for Children in Canada. In addition, He is a Faculty Advisory Board Member at McGill University, a Part-time Professor at the College of Dentistry at Gulf Medical University in UAE, and the Director of the FDI World Dental Federation Continuing Dental Education Program for the Middle East.
For 7 years, Hani was the Director of McGill University Continuing Dental Education for the Middle East & North Africa, and he is the former Director of the Post-graduate Oral Surgery and Implantology Program at MBHU in UAE and was an external examiner of the German Board of Implantology.
Dr. Hani is a Fellow, speaker, and examiner at the International Team of Implantology (ITI), the largest global professional dental implant organization. From 2018 to 2021, Hani was the Education Delegate of the ITI Middle East Section, where his efforts culminated in the section earning the Education Award in 2021, competitively among 34 ITI sections worldwide.
He is a Fellow of the prestigious International College of Dentists, a member of the Scientific Advisory Board of the Journal of Dental Research, Clinical & Translational Research in USA and the Advisory Council of the College of Health Sciences at Jumeirah University in UAE.
Hani is actively involved in basic science and clinical research, published in peer-reviewed journals and has delivered more than 400 lectures, courses and workshops at national and international conferences in 27 countries.
