Dr. Allam is an American Board Certified Consultant Interventional Cardiologist.
American Board certified in Interventional Cardiology, Cardiovascular Disease, and Internal Medicine. He is also American Board eligible and licensed in Nuclear Cardiology.
Dr. Allam held A. Professor position at, University of Alabama at Birmingham. He is a
Fellow of the American College of Cardiology and Fellow of the American Society of Angiography and Intervention.
Dr. Allam Has performed more than 5800 diagnostic Coronary and peripheral angiographies and more than 3800 of coronary, Carotid and peripheral arterial interventions and 10 years of USA practice.
Dr. Allam completed his Fellowship in clinical cardiology at the renowned William Beaumont Hospital in 1999, Michigan, – one of the top 10 programs in interventional cardiology in the US. He received extensive training in Cardiology, Cardiac Catheterization, Pacemaker Implantation, Transesophageal Echocardiogram and Nuclear cardiology.
He then completed fellowship in Interventional cardiology at the University of Alabama -Birmingham. In year 2000, – another top 10 program in interventional cardiology in the US. His training included complex Coronary, Carotid and Peripheral interventions.
Dr. Alkowatli is a pioneer in interventional cardiology with a great success rate of achieving optimal vessel patency after interventions that typically exceeds 90% overall with documented well below US average for morbidity and mortality during intervention. His success rate for opening total occlusions has exceeded 75%.
In 2001, Dr. Allam was granted the “Best Physician award”, from Hot Springs, Arkansas, USA.
He has engaged in numerous interventional cardiology research work and publications.
