Biography
Dr. Min Wei is a highly skilled and accomplished physician specializing in Family Medicine. With extensive experience and a passion for providing comprehensive care.
Dr. Min Wei’s journey began in 2008 when she joined the Surgical ICU of The Third Affiliated Hospital of Sun Yat-sen University. Over the course of five years, she served as a Resident, Chief Resident, and Associated Attending, gaining invaluable expertise in critical care and surgical medicine. During this time, she also took on the responsibility of overseeing the quality of medical records, ensuring accuracy and compliance.
In 2013 she embarked on a new chapter in their career by joining United Family Healthcare as a FM (Family Medicine) fellow doctor. She had the opportunity to rotate through various United Family Hospitals, including those in Beijing, Shanghai, and Guangzhou, as well as the Australia Campus and Hong Kong University Shenzhen. This diverse exposure expanded Dr. Min’s knowledge and understanding of international healthcare practices.
Driven by a commitment to professional growth, Dr. Min Wei pursued the In-Training Examination by the American Board of Family Medicine in 2017 and achieved an outstanding score of 420, which is comparable to American residents. Additionally, in 2018, they obtained the International Postgraduate Pediatric Certificate from “The Sydney Children’s Hospitals Network,” further augmenting their expertise in pediatric care.
From 2018 to 2020, Dr. Min served as a Family Medicine Physician at Guangzhou United Family Hospital. In this role, they demonstrated exceptional clinical skills while working in various settings, including the Family Medicine clinic, GP-inpatient, and Postpartum Rehabilitation (PPR) inpatient ward.
Furthermore, Dr. Min took on the role of an Instructor of Advanced Cardiopulmonary Life Support (ACLS) of the American Heart Association (AHA) from 2018 to 2020. Through this position, she shared her expertise in life-saving techniques and contributed to the professional development of other healthcare providers.
In 2021, she assumed the position of Section Chief of Family Medicine (inpatient) at Guangzhou United Family Hospital, showcasing their exceptional leadership and management skills. Recognizing their exemplary contributions, Dr Min was appointed as the Chair of Family Medicine in 2022, assuming a pivotal role in shaping the department and its services.
Dr. Min Wei continues to dedicate themselves to providing outstanding patient care, advancing the field of Family Medicine, and serving as a role model for aspiring healthcare professionals. Her remarkable journey stands as a testament to her unwavering commitment to excellence in healthcare.
